Keith Green was the adjunct instructor of trombone and orchestral studies at New Jersey City University from 2008 to 2011. For over thirty years Dr. Green has been a busy freelance musician in New York City. He was principal trombone of the Connecticut Orchestra for fifteen years and New Jersey State Opera for ten years.
He has performed as principal trombone with: The New York City Ballet and Opera Orchestras, American Composers Orchestra, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, The American Symphony Orchestra, American Ballet Theater, The New York Pops, and many local New York orchestras. He performed one of the last full seasons with the Goldman Band under the direction of Richard Franco Goldman. On Broadway he was pleased to be a member of the orchestras for The Pirates of Penzance, with Kevin Kline and Linda Rondstadt, and Cats. He has been a substitute in nineteen broadway productions and played for over fifteen off-broadway shows. At Radio City Music Hall since 1985, Keith has played for: The Christmas Spectacular, The Spring Spectacular, Liberace, Dionne Warwick, and Johnny Mathis. He has played with the Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestras of Mario Bauza and Chico O’Farrill. He has recorded for: DGG, BMG, Electra Asylum, Opus One, CRI, and Musical Heritage in addition to commercial recording for radio, television, and films. 
Keith received his BM from The Hartt College of Music, MM from The Juilliard School, and DMA from The Manhattan School of Music. He was a scholarship student at The Aspen Music Festival, The New College Summer Music Festival, and The Institute for Advanced Musical Studies in Montreux, Switzerland. Keith has been a soloist with The Manhattan Symphony, The Snowmass Philharmonia, and The Concert Pops of Long Island. His trombone teachers were John Swallow, Per Brevig, Ronald Barron, and Steve Podgorski. He has had further coaching with Douglas Edelman, David Langlitz, and Vince Penzarella. He was previously adjunct-instructor of trombone at Wagner College. Keith is a member of The International Trombone Association, The Historic Brass Society, The College Music Society, and Local 802 American Federation of Musicians.
